Sales Records for Nissan

Vaden Nissan in Savannah, GA, is one of the many quality Nissan dealers helping this Japanese auto maker reach top sales for 2011. For the month of November, sales figures show registrations of Nissan vehicles up 30.8%. Models like Nissan Versa and the upcoming Altima are bound to keep sales going strong next year. Add to this the introduction of Leaf EV markets, and Nissan is bound to attract many different kinds of vehicle enthusiasts.

New car sales in November increased by 19.4% in the US alone. Experts believe Nissan will continue to "benefit from its model lineup…

Nissan JUKE Concept Unveiled

Nissan has decided to tease the auto industry by unveiling the new JUKE Nismo Concept earlier than any of us expected. They didn't tell all. That would leave many Tokyo Motor Show attendees more than a little disappointed. They did, however, share enough to satisfy drivers' curiosity until we can officially offer news on what the innovative crossover is packing under the hood.

By teaming up with their performance arm, Nismo, Nissan has essentially transformed the stand-out JUKE from ultra-modern, fun-driving CUV into high-performance, stealth CUV that just begs to do a couple of laps at the nearest track…

Nissan Altima Turns Twenty

Twenty years ago, the Altima came to Vaden Nissan. Two decades and 3.6 million units sold later, this car is one of the top selling vehicles in its class. The 20th anniversary Nissan Altima is now available.

Altima is one of the best selling Nissan models in the company's history, and was named second best-selling car for 2011 in the US.

"We want to acknowledge Altima's first two decades and how much it has meant to the company - and reward loyal Altima customers with this special 20th Anniversary equipment package," said Al Castignetti, VP and GM…

Nissan Creates Ultimate CUV Compact

It's not just consumers who recognize the Nissan JUKE as a model that stands out from the CUV crowd, Nissan does too. They're trying to play up the JUKE's uniqueness by infusing it with key components from the dramatic, sporty Nissan GT-R Super Car (i.e., the 530-hp, 3.9-liter, V6 engine;  six-speed transaxle; RWD driveline; prop shaft; 20-inch alloy RAYS).

The design is focused primarily on performance, not just on agility alone. To keep passengers safe, Nissan has engineered the industry's first-ever super CUV with a roll cage.

To enhance the sporty look of the…

Nissan Hybrid System on Steroids

Nissan is working hard to lower the emissions from all vehicles, not just their electric Nissan Leaf. The company will soon implement an advanced supercharged engine mated to a hybrid power plant.

This hybrid, which will be available on cars at Vaden Nissan one day soon, connects a supercharged 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with CVT transmission, electric motor, and lithium-ion battery. Details on fuel economy will depend on the vehicles themselves, though Nissan "seems to have set out to build a system that is equal parts performance and fuel economy."1

Other reports suggest the new system will debut…

Nissan Cars Will Soon Read Your Mind

Soon, vehicles like Nissan Altima may be able to read your mind.

Nissan is collaborating with École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) to research "Brain Machine Interface" (BMI) concepts. The idea allows disabled people to maneuver wheelchairs by thought transference. Nissan hopes to convert this project for use in cars, so that disabled drivers (and able bodied ones) can drive telepathically.

"The Nissan and EPFL collaboration is developing systems that go to the next stage using statistical analysis to predict a diver's intentions and to evaluate a driver's cognitive state relevant to the driving environment," according…

QR-Code Stickers Enhance Nissan Buying Experience

Nissan has achieved another industry first - one sure to please all prospective car buyers. The Japanese automaker announced on August 5 that it would be the first original equipment manufacturer to add QR-code stickers to all models in their 2012 lineup. QR-codes will be required by all vehicles sold in the U.S. in two years, proving once again that Nissan is ahead of the game.

While QR-codes were originally used by auto manufacturers to track vehicle parts, they're quickly gaining traction among businesses across industry verticals. In fact, while you might not have known what they were, you…

One Million Qashqais for Nissan

It might be difficult for us in the U.S. to even pronounce, but the Nissan Qashqai has recently hit a significant milestone underlining the crossover's continued popularity in markets abroad, including the U.K. as well as Japan and Australia where it is known as the Nissan Dualis. For the sake of making the rest of this a little easier to read, Qashqai is pronounced Kash-key...kind of like the whole grain cereal only with a "k" in the middle.

Similar in size to the hot-selling U.S. crossover, the Nissan Rogue, the Qashqai is offered in a…

Nissan Europe Record Sales

When we talk about Nissan news...and even Nissan's growing popularity, we primarily focus on granular findings from within the U.S. There are, however, examples of Nissan news from outside our boarders that provide a desirable "bigger picture", which we'd also like to share.

A prime example is an event that happened just last month. That is Nissan achieved record market share in Europe. Specifically, the Japanese automaker experienced a 35-percent year-over-year leap in European sales, for the first four months of 2011 and record-breaking share in April alone. While we've been talking about Nissan's…

2011 Nissan Juke - Weird Begets Sales

The Nissan Juke is one odd looking automobile. Is it a coupe? A crossover? SUV? You can't identify the Juke with one word, but what you can rely on is sales. Look down your block, we bet you'll see an all new Juke on it. Nissan calls the Juke a "Sport Cross," mating a sports sedan's performance with the utility of a SUV. Still confused? Come down to Vaden Nissan, and you can find out for yourself.

Juke's 188 horsepower, coming from the four-cylinder turbocharged engine, is a surprise to buyers. It's got a lot…
