Nissan Unveils Compact Cargo Utility in Chicago

Nissan is making quite a statement with their lineup of NV200 models. The original, the Nissan NV200, was officially chosen as NYC's Taxi of Tomorrow, taking over the city as the latest in iconic transportation. Next up for the NV200: a cargo van and a passenger van.

The NV200 compact cargo van made its debut at the Chicago auto show early in February, and is set to go on sale early in 2013. However...

Nissan Unveils a Dramatically Restyled Pathfinder

When Nissan released teaser images and video of the all-new 2013 Pathfinder, all we could tell for sure was that it would get a large moonroof along with some curvier lines. Needless to say, the team here at Vaden Nissan was excited for the 2012 North American International Auto Show where the concept would make its first debut. And, we have to say, Nissan did not disappoint us in the least.

What we knew before the show...

Vaden Nissan in Savannah, GA, is one of the many quality Nissan dealers helping this Japanese auto maker reach top sales for 2011. For the month of November, sales figures show registrations of Nissan vehicles up 30.8%. Models like Nissan Versa and the upcoming Altima are bound to keep sales going strong next year. Add to this the introduction of Leaf EV markets, and Nissan is bound to attract many different kinds of vehicle enthusiasts.

New car sales in November increased by 19.4% in the US alone. Experts believe Nissan will continue to "benefit from its model lineup…

Nissan NV200 Tested by FedEx

Nissan NV200 vans are going to work in the UK. Long before NV becomes NYC's "Taxi Cab of Tomorrow," or hits dealer lots near you, it will encounter real world situations across the globe. After 2 months, Nissan will evaluate the vehicle's responses.

These are not your everyday work vans. FedEx NVs will be all electric.

The all-electric Nissan NV200 replaces the stock driveline "with the electric running gear from the Nissan Leaf. Nissan doesn't say if this application has different specs than the Leaf, which has a 107 horsepower/207 pound-feet electric motor, an EPA-estimated 73…

Nissan JUKE Concept Unveiled

Nissan has decided to tease the auto industry by unveiling the new JUKE Nismo Concept earlier than any of us expected. They didn't tell all. That would leave many Tokyo Motor Show attendees more than a little disappointed. They did, however, share enough to satisfy drivers' curiosity until we can officially offer news on what the innovative crossover is packing under the hood.

By teaming up with their performance arm, Nismo, Nissan has essentially transformed the stand-out JUKE from ultra-modern, fun-driving CUV into high-performance, stealth CUV that just begs to do a couple of laps at the nearest track…

Nissan Altima Turns Twenty

Twenty years ago, the Altima came to Vaden Nissan. Two decades and 3.6 million units sold later, this car is one of the top selling vehicles in its class. The 20th anniversary Nissan Altima is now available.

Altima is one of the best selling Nissan models in the company's history, and was named second best-selling car for 2011 in the US.

"We want to acknowledge Altima's first two decades and how much it has meant to the company - and reward loyal Altima customers with this special 20th Anniversary equipment package," said Al Castignetti, VP and GM…

Nissan Creates Ultimate CUV Compact

It's not just consumers who recognize the Nissan JUKE as a model that stands out from the CUV crowd, Nissan does too. They're trying to play up the JUKE's uniqueness by infusing it with key components from the dramatic, sporty Nissan GT-R Super Car (i.e., the 530-hp, 3.9-liter, V6 engine;  six-speed transaxle; RWD driveline; prop shaft; 20-inch alloy RAYS).

The design is focused primarily on performance, not just on agility alone. To keep passengers safe, Nissan has engineered the industry's first-ever super CUV with a roll cage.

To enhance the sporty look of the…

Nissan Hybrid System on Steroids

Nissan is working hard to lower the emissions from all vehicles, not just their electric Nissan Leaf. The company will soon implement an advanced supercharged engine mated to a hybrid power plant.

This hybrid, which will be available on cars at Vaden Nissan one day soon, connects a supercharged 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with CVT transmission, electric motor, and lithium-ion battery. Details on fuel economy will depend on the vehicles themselves, though Nissan "seems to have set out to build a system that is equal parts performance and fuel economy."1

Other reports suggest the new system will debut…

Nissan Cars Will Soon Read Your Mind

Soon, vehicles like Nissan Altima may be able to read your mind.

Nissan is collaborating with École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) to research "Brain Machine Interface" (BMI) concepts. The idea allows disabled people to maneuver wheelchairs by thought transference. Nissan hopes to convert this project for use in cars, so that disabled drivers (and able bodied ones) can drive telepathically.

"The Nissan and EPFL collaboration is developing systems that go to the next stage using statistical analysis to predict a diver's intentions and to evaluate a driver's cognitive state relevant to the driving environment," according…
